Hi, I’m Jessica Hoffmann
Real-world learning with a tech twist.
Learning Experience Designer · Educator · M.S. Learning Technologies
About me
I’m a Career and Technical Education teacher in Lewisville ISD, where I teach high school–level Principles of Human Services and Introduction to Culinary Arts. In nine years in education, I’ve also taught special education and art, experiences that shape how I design for different learners.
Before the classroom, I worked in hospitality, restaurants, and catering, then spent five years in real estate and mortgage finance. That background shapes how I teach: every lesson should connect to a real job and a real person.
In every classroom I’ve taught, I’ve built hands-on, tech-rich learning experiences. One example is a sewing and textiles website for middle school learners. I’m especially interested in AI adoption and in helping educators and professionals use AI effectively and ethically, which led me to create The AIdeas Lab.
I’m completing my M.S. in Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas. I’m interested in opportunities in instructional design, corporate learning and development, and higher education.
